Process and timeline

About 3 weeks from kickoff, assuming your interviewees are available.

Fit check: we reply to confirm the Diagnostic suits your situation before anything is booked.
Book and pay: if it's a fit, we agree a kickoff date and you pay the fee in full before kickoff. We'll send payment details when we confirm your booking. Minimum notice is 5 business days, and the other sessions are scheduled at kickoff.
Week 1: kickoff, then both stakeholder interviews.
Week 2: workflow map, risk and data review, solution comparison.
Week 3: written report delivered, with the readout call within 5 business days of the report.

Sessions are held by video, or on site by arrangement.

What it isn't

Not investment, legal or tax advice.
Not a TeachU rating. The diagnostic is separate from TeachU.ai's index. Buying it has no effect on how any product is listed or assessed.
Not implementation. Integrations, builds and vendor onboarding aren't included. We can scope them separately.
No promised outcomes. We don't promise specific savings or results. They depend on your workflows, data and team.

Conflicts of interest

TeachU.ai's founder may have business interests in products we cover. If any recommendation involves one, we'll tell you and recommend alternatives on the same criteria. Conflicts are handled under our conflicts policy.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancel any time before your kickoff call: full refund.
After kickoff has taken place, the fee isn't refundable.
If we cancel, or can't deliver the report: full refund.

FAQ

Who runs the diagnostic? TeachU.ai's founder, personally. It's never automated.

What do you need from us? A completed intake form, about an hour for kickoff, two stakeholders for up to 45 minutes each, and enough access to describe your systems. We don't need system credentials.

Will you see client data? We work from descriptions of your systems, workflows and data sensitivity. Please don't send client personal or account data unless we've agreed in writing that it's needed.

Is this right for a single-family office or a small RIA? Yes, if more than one person is involved in the decision and real data systems are in play.

Will you recommend specific vendors? You'll get three solution options with tradeoffs, and they may name products. Where TeachU holds research on a product, we'll point you to it with its evidence labels. If an option involves a product in which TeachU.ai's founder has a business interest, we'll say so and set out alternatives on the same criteria.

Does buying this affect TeachU's assessments? No. Engaging us has no effect on how any product is listed or assessed.

What happens after the readout? You can act on the roadmap yourselves. If you want help, we can scope implementation separately. There's no obligation.

How do I pay? In full before kickoff, once we've confirmed the Diagnostic is a fit and agreed your kickoff date.
